Accessibility statement

figopay wants its website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people with visual, motor, hearing or cognitive disabilities. This statement applies to the figopay.ro website, in its Romanian and English versions.

1. The standard we follow

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, the standard also used by the European Accessibility Act.

2. Compliance status

The website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2, level AA. We have checked the main requirements ourselves, but the website has not yet been evaluated by an independent auditor.

3. What we have done

A clear structure of headings and page landmarks, for screen readers.
Alternative text for images that carry information.
The whole website can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus and a “Skip to content” link at the start of every page.
Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
Animations that start on their own have a pause button, and stop automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
A light and a dark theme, following your device setting or your choice.
An accessibility menu on every page: text size, high contrast, stopping animations, underlined links and reading spacing.

4. Known limitations

Screenshots from the figopos app are images. Their text is described briefly, not in full; the same information also appears in the page text.
Demo animations (for example, the journey of a payment) are illustrative. Their steps are also described in text.
The English version of the legal documents is a translation still under review.
In the dark theme, the accessibility menu's title uses the figopay logo gradient, which has lower contrast than recommended. The “High contrast” option shows it as plain text.

This statement was prepared on 7 October 2026, based on a review by the figopay team. We update it when we change the website.
